Project Settings contains per-project toggles that control what the bot analyses and how it responds. Changes apply to the currently selected project only.
Bot Enabled
Turns the bot on or off for this project. Takes up to 5 minutes to apply. This is the same control as the master toggle in Schedule.
Moderation Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|
| Sticker Moderation | Analyses sticker messages for inappropriate content and removes them if they violate rules |
| Animation Moderation | Analyses GIFs and animations for inappropriate content |
| Image Moderation | Uses AI vision to scan photo messages for inappropriate content |
| Respond to Admins | When on, the bot replies to messages from admins and moderators. Turn off to silence chat and FAQ responses for your own team - moderation still runs. |
| Allow Bot to Ban Directly | When on, the bot bans users immediately. When off, it mutes and creates a pending ban request for an admin to approve. |
Start with both Allow Bot to Ban Directly and Respond to Admins off. Once you’ve reviewed a few weeks of incidents and you’re confident in how the bot handles your community, you can enable direct banning for the threat types you trust it on.
Functionality Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|
| Basic Chat | Allows the bot to reply to greetings, @mentions, and general social messages |
| FAQ Responses | Allows the bot to answer questions using the Knowledge Base |
| Emoji Reactions | Allows the bot to add emoji reactions to noteworthy messages |
Disabling Basic Chat and FAQ Responses while keeping security rules active puts the bot into a silent moderation mode - it acts on violations but never initiates or joins conversations.
