Allow bot to ban

  • On: blocklist bans, AI bans and repeat offender bans remove the member right away. You can undo any ban from Incidents.
  • Off: every ban becomes Suggest ban. The bot deletes the message, mutes the member and puts the case in Needs review for you to decide.
Start with this off. After a few weeks of reviewing suggestions, turn it on once you trust how the bot handles your community.

Mute length

How long the bot mutes members for blocklist mutes, AI mutes and ban suggestions (the member stays muted while you decide). Choose from 5 minutes up to 28 days, or set a custom length. Manual mute menus offer this length first. Flood brakes for posting too fast stay short (5 minutes or 1 hour) whatever you set here.

Ban repeat offenders

Bans a member on their Nth mute within a set window, for example the 3rd mute within 30 days. Choose from the 2nd to the 10th mute and a window from 7 to 365 days. The count includes mutes from the bot and from your admins across the whole project. Incidents you forgave or marked as a collony.ai mistake do not count.

New members

Links from new members deletes messages with links from members who joined less than a set time ago. Choose Off, 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days or a custom value. Links to your allowed domains are always fine.
Most scam accounts post a link within minutes of joining. A 24 hour window stops them without bothering regular members.
