Wick bot review: pricing, features and gaps

Wick is the best dedicated anti-raid and anti-nuke bot on Discord. It is built for one job, stopping join floods and damage from inside a server, and it does that job with more depth than any general-purpose bot. The trade-offs are real: its strongest protection is paid, setup takes time, and day-to-day content moderation is not its focus.

We build an AI moderation bot for Discord, so we see Wick from downstream, in servers that run it. Same rules as our Dyno bot review: honest strengths, named gaps. Features and prices below come from Wick's own site and docs in October 2026.

What Wick does well

Wick's docs describe it as the first bot to bring the anti-nuke idea to Discord, and its feature set still centers on that. Its main pieces:

  • Anti nuke. Protection against a rogue or compromised admin, or a hijacked bot, from mass creating or deleting channels and roles, mass kicking and banning, and changing dangerous permissions. This is the damage that no automod rule catches, because it comes from someone with legitimate access.

  • Anti raid. Join monitoring that targets accounts matching your filters, with signals such as a default profile picture, account age and a username filter, plus quarantine as an alternative to an instant ban.

  • Lockdown systems. Lock a channel, roles, joins, invites or the whole server when something is wrong, with panic modes for the worst moments.

  • Verification. A verification step on Discord itself or on Wick's own platform, built to filter out scripted accounts.

  • Automod and logging. Dozens of filters with customizable heat settings, moderation commands as both slash and prefix commands, and logging of everything it does.

Wick's docs say its biggest handled raid involved more than 250,000 raid accounts aimed at a server of about 300,000 members. That is the vendor's own figure, but it shows the scale it is built for.

Wick pricing in 2026

  • Free: the bot itself, with a basic set of its security and moderation features.

  • Premium: 5 dollars a month. Advanced anti raid, advanced anti nuke, advanced automod, advanced quarantine, smart backups, an advanced lockdown system, customizable verification and increased ratelimits.

  • VIP: 20 dollars a month. Everything in Premium plus dedicated resources, custom branding, super low latency and 12 premium servers.

The pattern is the important part. The headline protections, the ones that justify installing Wick, sit in the paid tiers. A server that only wants the free bot gets a capable moderation tool, but not the full anti-raid and anti-nuke stack. The price is low compared with hiring for the same coverage.

Setup and permissions

Wick's own FAQ opens with the question of why it is hard to set up, and the answer is candid: it is sensitive, customizable and advanced, and the docs tell you to treat it the way you treat antivirus software. Plan for a real session of configuration, not five minutes.

  • It asks for Administrator. The invite link requests the Administrator permission. That is broad, and it is the same power you are trying to protect against, so limit who can use Wick's dashboard and keep its role under control.

  • Only top permit levels can set it up. The docs warn that the highest permit levels are dangerous to hand out.

  • Keep the rescue key. Setup produces a key and a QR code that restore access if you lose the owner account. The docs recommend the QR code.

  • Check the security overview. The dashboard lists issues to fix, including dangerous permissions such as Manage Server and Administrator on other roles.

Where Wick hits its limits

Wick is a security layer and not a full moderation stack. Its signals are account-level and rule-based, which is exactly right for raids and nukes. A scam that comes from an aged account and is worded to look harmless is outside what it is built to judge, and so is the slow behavioral pattern of a coordinated group. Misconfigured, it can also lock out legitimate members, which is the price of a sensitive tool. Our 2026 security report put the miss rate of keyword filters at 85.7 percent, a gap that stays open whichever rule-based bot you run.

Wick vs the alternatives

Against Dyno, it is specialist versus generalist, covered in the best Dyno alternatives and in our Dyno bot review. Against Carl-bot, they do different jobs: Carl-bot handles roles and logging, and Wick handles attacks. If you want the wider field, see the best Discord moderation bots and our Discord security bot comparison.

Verdict

Run Wick if you have been raided or nuked, or if you run a large server where one compromised admin could do real damage. Budget for Premium, set aside time for setup, and keep the rescue key somewhere safe. For the join attack you can see coming, Wick is the specialist. For the scam from an aged account, you need a layer that reads behavior, which is the job collony.ai does alongside Wick. The emergency steps for an active attack are in how to stop a Discord raid, and the fake-account side is in how to detect bot farms and fake accounts.

Frequently asked questions

Is Wick bot free?

Wick has a free tier, and its strongest security features are paid. Wick's site lists Premium at 5 dollars a month and VIP at 20 dollars a month. Premium adds advanced anti raid, advanced anti nuke, advanced automod, advanced quarantine, smart backups, an advanced lockdown system, customizable verification and increased ratelimits. Prices are from Wick's site in October 2026.

How much does Wick Premium cost?

5 dollars a month for Premium and 20 dollars a month for VIP, per Wick's premium page in October 2026. VIP includes everything in Premium plus dedicated resources, custom branding, super low latency and 12 premium servers.

What is Wick bot used for?

Stopping raids and nukes. A raid is a flood of accounts joining to spam or scam. A nuke is damage from inside, such as a rogue admin or a hijacked bot deleting channels, mass banning members or changing permissions. Wick is built around both, with moderation tools and logging as support.

Is Wick safe to add to a server?

Wick is a long-running security bot used by large servers, but its invite asks for the Administrator permission. That is broad power, so treat it like any admin-grade bot: keep its role and your admin roles under control, restrict who can use its dashboard, and save the owner rescue key it gives you during setup.

Wick or Dyno?

Wick for raids and nukes, Dyno for everyday moderation. Dyno's free automod is deeper for content rules, and Wick is the specialist for join attacks and damage from inside the server. Many large servers run one of each, plus a layer that reads account behavior.
